Our fully self-contained, ADA-compliant mobile tattoo removal units essentially operate as a mobile doctor’s office and are capable of operating behind a secured perimeter or in the parking lot of a probation office. We are owned by a physician who provides direction and oversight of our entire process. The mobile units are usually manned by Registered Nurses who have had extensive training in laser tattoo removal and by an administrative laser technician who assists the RN.
When we arrive at a clinic we only need about 15 minutes to set up our mobile unit to be ready for services. We can generally treat 6-12 patients an hour depending on the number of tattoos each patient has, and what the sponsoring facility approves. The process is as follows; a patient will fill out consents and have photos of their tattoo taken, they enter through the front of the bus, watch an informational video about the process, continue on into the bus and get their tattoo lasered, receive an aftercare card and ice, and exit through the back of the bus. The procedure is non-invasive and there is very little aftercare needed.
At the end of each day, we provide the agency with a list of participants, each patient’s treatment plan, and updated photos with the invoice for services. We have a system in place to maintain HIPAA medical records on-site, and off-line, that uploads at the end of the day to provide to the agency.
